This platform uses a SaaS multi-tenant architecture. The administrator of an organization can add a certain number of users within the organization, who can each create, manage, and maintain multiple writing projects.
If necessary, the administrator can also configure different permissions for users in the organization, thereby achieving physical isolation of reference materials and creation results.
Where are the materials I upload and the books I create stored? Are they safe?
By default, the materials you upload, the books generated, and other data and materials produced during the process (such as analysis reports) are all stored on our company's cloud servers (Alibaba Cloud OSS object storage). According to official Alibaba Cloud documentation, data durability is as high as 99.9999999999% (12 nines).
Based on reliable tenant isolation technology, these files cannot be viewed or accessed by personnel from other organizations. However, authorized administrators at the organization that developed this project can see these files. Therefore, please do not upload files with privacy or security requirements to this platform.
If you have higher privacy requirements, you can use the private cloud configuration feature provided by this platform: please register an Alibaba Cloud account yourself and purchase OSS object storage, then configure and switch to your own storage in System Settings. After that, your materials can be viewed only by you (and the collaborators you add); even our company's management and developers cannot view them.
Why do PDF reference materials show garbled text (or missing Chinese characters) when previewed after upload?
Some PDF files can be opened and previewed normally on a local computer using other readers. However, after being uploaded to the reference materials list in this system, when you click the Preview button, English content displays normally, but Chinese characters cannot be displayed or appear as garbled text.
The cause of this problem is that the PDF file uses uncommon Chinese fonts but does not embed these fonts in the PDF file, and it lacks ToUnicode mapping for Chinese characters, so the browser cannot render the text correctly.
This issue is relatively common in PDF papers exported from CNKI and is not a problem with this system.
Although such files cannot be previewed normally, they can still be used as reference materials, because when this system reads reference materials, its text extraction from PDFs relies on encoding mapping tables.
Why do PDF files consume a large number of Tokens during the reading and analysis stage?
Unlike DOCX, MD, and other text-based files, PDF files must first be extracted into text using the AI-based text parsing tool in this system before they can be used for reading and writing. This process consumes a large number of Tokens (the exact amount varies depending on the amount of text and the complexity of the layout).
We strongly recommend first using other software or online tools to convert PDF files into DOCX, MD, or other formats before uploading and using them.
In books created with it, could the content contain anything that violates ideology-related regulations or is otherwise illegal or non-compliant?
The intelligent writing process on this platform relies entirely on the reference materials uploaded and provided by users themselves; it does not crawl or cite content or information from the internet. As long as the materials a user uploads are lawful and compliant, the writing output will not contain non-compliant content either.
In addition, strict review rules are built into every stage of the workflow, carrying out multi-dimensional reviews of the reference materials users upload and the AI-generated content.
Can I only create on your website? Do you offer on-premises deployment?
For business users with large-scale usage needs, we offer on-premises deployment services.
In that case, you can use your own large model server (or an API key you have applied for from a third-party model vendor) to create books, thereby saving on costs during large-scale use.
